Our Story

A corner of Butternut that feels like yours

The Butternut Cafe grew out of a simple belief: that the best food comes from knowing your neighbors, sourcing from the land around you, and taking the time to do things by hand.

Our bakery produces small batches of sourdough, flaky pastries, and seasonal treats every morning. Our grocery corner highlights products from Wisconsin farms and local makers — honey, preserves, cheeses, and pantry staples you won't find anywhere else in town.

Whether you're grabbing coffee before work or spending a Sunday afternoon at one of our tables, we want this place to feel like a room you're glad to be in.
